Improving Mental and Physical Ability Through Aggressiveness Exercises

Aggressiveness exercises are a great way to improve our mental and physical abilities. In our next issues we will cover a few of them.

Drill:

This drill is somewhat similar to the one we did last month, but instead of calling it "Sumo"... We'll call it "Football". In this exercise the one partner has the objective of getting from one end of your training space to the other. He is supposed to do it through you. Meaning you're supposed to stop him and not allow him to get there. Taking this point into consideration you're supposed to be more passive and attentive. You're goal is to make life harder on him. Try it and you'll feel the difference. Of course you can both use pushing, pulling and grabbing to the best of your ability.

Tips:

1. We can decide to work in time sets, meaning for example, that for 3 minutes, we continue the drill no matter how many times our partner takes us or is taken by us to the the wall. In general, the amount of sets, their duration and the length of time of each set, should be decided upon according to our abilities and endurance level both mentally and physically.

2. It is important that we look for the aggressiveness inside the exercise rather than the techniques which can be applied. We shouldn't look to achieve our goal through joint-locks, strikes ext…

3. When we finish the exercise it is very important to stretch our whole body.
