Improving Aggressiveness Exercise 6

Aggression is one of the qualities a fighter needs to develop in himself as part of his mental build up.

Drill:

One partner starts on their back. The other starts in the side mount position. The one who starts on the back needs to get on his feet. The partner in the side mount position needs to prevent it

The exercise will not only improve our mental ability, but also our leg and core body strength.

Tips:

1. Time the round, eventually one partner will tire out. This fact and dealing with it will, by itself, improve our mental ability.

2. It's a good idea not to use technique in this drill, because usually it reduces our use of aggressiveness

3. There is also a possibility not to time the round and keep on going until a clear defeat or victory is at hand...

4. Perform the exercise on a something soft, to reduce the risk of injury.
